Sunday Drawing Practice 19th August 2012

This was a bit of Sunday morning practice, about 1 hr 10 mins.  Working on the following:
  • painting without linework
  • painting by colour picking by eye
  • using only two brushes to get the effect I need
  • recreating fur

Lifedrawing 12th August 2012

It's amazing how a change in setting can throw me when it comes to lifedrawing.  Usually I go to class on a weekday evening, but I've decided to add Sunday morning class as well.  I used to go to this class, but it was some time ago.  The lighting is very different, and from several angles, so I really struggled with the tonal aspect.  I quite like the last image, even though it's incomplete.

Model: Stephanie
Pose lengths: 2 - 20 minutes

Morning sketch practice

Posemaniacs is a good site for fast drawing practice.  Since I was somewhat dissatisfied with how I went in the last lifedrawing class, I've decided to get back into doing this kind of regular sketch practice in the morning.
Pose times: 30 sec and 1 min

Lifedrawing 7th August 2012

This session was challenging as we had two models to draw.  Not only did I have to draw faster, but I also had to watch their positions relative to each other.  I don't have all the drawings here cos a few pages were pretty messy and tragic!
Models: Jonathan & Gabrielle
Poses lengths: 30 seconds to 20 minutes
