Animation Mentor - Week 6

This was a re-work of the Stu 'devastation' pose based on mentor feedback. We didn't need to submit it as part of this week's assessment.

A refining of the pendulum from last week. Changes made were to the overshoot on the platform to favour the final position, and removing some frames on the chain swings from fr62 onwards.

Planning sheet for the Tailor assessment. I wanted to include things we'd learned in weeks prior, hence the ball and pendulum. I also did a timing test in Flash (not part of the assessment but it helps to give me an idea as to whether or not I'm on the right track timing-wise).

I can see that the pendulum stops too abruptly at the end. Damn that 120 frame limit!

Medic sketch practice

I used Posemaniacs for base pose ideas.

Animation Mentor - Week 5

Animation of pendulum:

There were two options given for the pendulum animation exercise. I submitted the above one, but also had a go at something a little bit more difficult. Mostly to get used to manipulating the curves and offsetting them in order to get overlapping action. I guess I could've done something a bit more exciting, but I had time-limits (200 frames max, as well as real life time-limits!), and rather than get into a horrible mess that I couldn't correct, I just upped the difficulty a little bit. It's no fun animating in 40C heat :(

Animation Mentor - Week 4

Assignment this week was to incorporate feedback for the bouncing ball from last week, planning for balls of two differing weights bouncing, and animation of those balls.
