Life-drawing 3rd July 2012
I didn't enjoy this session. I don't know what it was, but I really struggled. The model was unusual in her shape... and odd blend of lanky and thick limbs, soft flesh and defined muscle. Also, the class was a bit disorganised so don't know whether that affected my mood. It shouldn't. Maybe I was just having a cruddy night. It happens. One drawing I hated so much I've binned it, and it was at that point I realised that instead of continuing to do what I'd been doing before, I could use it to focus on underlying structure, which is why the last image looks a bit skinned and the arm bones are drawn into the forearm.
